skins: fiber sculpture, fall 2013, california college of the arts

In the conceptual sculpture class Skins, students approached textiles and fibers through unorthodox means as a way to consider what skin is. Each student brought their own unique interpretations to the various iterations, including animal, plant and human skin. Many of the class assignments were rooted in discussing the social or political implications of the topic.
